K&W looked to create a new side to their established brand.
K&W Tire, a trailblazing force in the wholesale tire industry, recently launched a bold and impactful marketing campaign that saw the transformation of a 2019 Ford Mustang into a captivating race/show car. At the heart of this venture was the strategic integration of the iconic Cooper Tires logo, a deliberate choice given its status as K&W's major account and primary sponsor for the vehicle.
The color palette, meticulously curated for visual resonance, featured gray and red as secondary hues. The selection of gray was not arbitrary; it was intended to complement the darker blue prevalent in both Cooper Tires and K&W branding. This thoughtful integration served as a unifying element, creating a harmonious visual experience. The introduction of red, on the other hand, was a deliberate move to establish a bold and striking color contrast against the backdrop of blue and gray. Against the clean canvas of a white base color, these three hues combined to create a visually arresting spectacle, utilizing the interplay between light and dark to command attention.
Building upon the iconic Cooper Tires logo, the stripe pattern emerged as a key design feature. Its incorporation of sharp points and rounded angles not only paid homage to the visual identity of Cooper Tires but also seamlessly integrated with the contours of the car's body. This design choice not only complemented the overall aesthetic of the vehicle but also heightened its inherent aggressive style—a characteristic commonly associated with high-performance cars.
The driver's suit has been meticulously designed to mirror the aesthetics of the car, incorporating lines and shapes that seamlessly follow the suit's contours. Notably, the red elements gracefully cascade down the sleeves, while the blue and gray hues elegantly traverse up and down the legs. The strategic use of white creates distinct color segments, echoing the vehicle wrap's visual appeal. To maintain a cohesive design reminiscent of the car, the decision was made to confine the red accents to the sleeves and shoulders, mirroring the limited red presence on the front and center of the vehicle. This intentional choice avoids any red on the pants, akin to the car's sparing use of red, strategically positioned towards the front and center, and deliberately omitted from the rear/trunk area. Moreover, one sleeve and the legs have been intentionally left without logos, creating space for future additions. This design foresight allows for flexibility and adaptability, ensuring that the driver's suit can evolve alongside potential sponsorships or partnerships in the future, adding an element of versatility to the overall aesthetic.
The primary purpose of the tent is geared towards motor sports events, aligning seamlessly with the thematic elements present on both the vehicle and the driver suit. The incorporation of red, blue, and grey stripes, punctuated by white spaces, maintains a cohesive and visually appealing continuity. However, recognizing the tent's dual role in catering to non-motor sports events, certain modifications were implemented. Unlike the dominant Cooper logo swirl pattern seen in the vehicle and driver suit, the tent adopts a design featuring vertical and horizontal stripes. This adaptation is deliberate, considering the flat horizontal and vertical planes of the tent's side and back walls, ensuring an optimal visual impact. During non-motor sports events, the spotlight shifts to K&W as the primary logo, strategically aligning with marketing objectives to promote the company. This divergence from the Cooper Tires focus underscores the tent's versatility, showcasing K&W as the driving force and owner of the car and its team during motor sports events, while adeptly adapting to a broader branding strategy for non-motor sports occasions.
